Our mission at the Sheriff’s office is to improve the quality of life in our community by reducing fear, preventing crime and enforcing the laws while protecting each individual’s freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution of United States and North Carolina. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office has 44 full time sworn Deputies and 8 part-time sworn Deputies. The Office is responsible for patrolling over 495 square miles and protecting its 54,000 plus population. Last year the Sheriff’s Office responded to over 19,000 calls for service.

You will also find links to our new Offender Watch, a database of all registered sex offenders residing in Franklin County. Currently some of sites are under construction but will soon provide useful information concerning news releases, seminars, and community meetings by the Sheriff.
